Must be a Harley problem. Its so weird because harley guys pride themselves on doing things themselves.
The thing about bikes is it takes longer to go find your brake bleeding stuff then it does to actually bleed it. Hell you don't even have to do the rear brake on a sportbike.

Initial impressions of the new Ninja 400. Seems like it may have landed in the sweet spot for those interested in the lightweight segment. http://www.cyclenews.com/2018/02/articl ... pressions/

Lighter is good. Fewer revs is unfortunate. Mine didn't start to sound good until it was over 10k.

Isn't this just splitting hairs? They can't add anymore power now. That's the limit for the UK license from A2 to unrestricted A. Well it'll cause all the other manufacturers to make 400s so your local racetrack will be 400s lol. Ingenious money grab.
I still haven't decided on a bike. I'm eyeballing a couple of mint 06 anniversary R6's. There's a mint '14 r1 with only 2k miles is at a local dealer that is catching my eye as well.

I wonder what they did to that model after they were out of the public eye...

Ducatis aren't really my style. I rode an aprila around the block and thought it was neat but that's about it. My buddy was a mechanic and one of his customers never paid him for all the work he did so he lien saled it and kept it. You have to really want one to own one..

I never was a Honda guy when these were new, but that thing looks sweet and if I wasn't a total fatass I would be very tempted to buy it.4zilch wrote: ↑Thu Feb 15, 2018 7:22 am Tempting

I still occasionally look for another 1989 GSXR-750 that hasn't been molested. I loved that bike and wish I never sold it.

I was actively looking for a CB1 before I decided to stick to cars, those 400cc 4-cyls from back then are perfect IMO. It was either that or a detuned 600 with shorter gears.

That's just like the one I had, except I never bought V&H, I had a Yoshimura Duplex pipe on mine with MIkuni smooth bores.

I love dual headlights - all of the bikes from this era look fantastic. I have a friend of mine with one of these in serious need of an engine rebuild and general TLC. This one in particular isCorvetteWaxer wrote: ↑Thu Feb 15, 2018 2:35 pmI'm seriously thinking about buying this one: http://seattleusedbikes.com/products/?SingleProduct=3

That bike was awesome. I had so much fun riding it 365 days a year for about 3 years.4zilch wrote: ↑Thu Feb 15, 2018 2:38 pmI love dual headlights - all of the bikes from this era look fantastic. My friend had an '86 GSXR 750 that got me hooked on them and when I was ready I went and got a brand new one right after I turned 18 and could legally buy it without a parent.
I pushed it in and out of the garage for about 6 months before I was found out, then I moved out fully on my own.

Got my early delivery report from USPS this morning and it looks like I'm getting a recall letter from Ducati about the Brembo brake issue... I was hoping my late build was not impacted since I hadn't heard anything yet, but I guess not.

Letters are going out. Multiple brands affected from MY 15-17. My KTM is a 14 and already has an upgraded Brembo RCS master, soCorvetteWaxer wrote: ↑Sat Feb 17, 2018 11:42 am Got my early delivery report from USPS this morning and it looks like I'm getting a recall letter from Ducati about the Brembo brake issue... Article on Harley's announcement of bringing an E-bike to market.

Also stats, although not surprising, are interesting to look at and discuss.
Motorcycles sales haven't recovered since the great recession and have been relatively stagnant.
