Well, mine had a stick and tent windows. You'd at least want power windows and an auto I think. Especially with the 8-speed now.
But the stick and tent windows are why it sat and got the price so far down. I loved the half doors in CA, was epic.

If he joins the One Legged Veterans Association of California for $100 he gets $4k off or something doe? I'd do that.Detroit wrote: ↑Wed Dec 13, 2017 2:22 pmWell, to be fair...I had a supplier pricing code from a friend and the dealer wanted to deal because the Jeep had been sitting for a while. IIRC, the MSRP was in the $35k range? I had to drive out to Vegas to get it.
claimed it was the cheapest Rubicon he had ever sold.
But s like that are out there.
There was a rubicon as such for 34k locally... it had around 39k msrp. and quite a bit sitting on the hood ~36k after tax... but it had heated seats and something else I can't put my finger on.Detroit wrote: ↑Wed Dec 13, 2017 2:22 pmWell, to be fair...I had a supplier pricing code from a friend and the dealer wanted to deal because the Jeep had been sitting for a while. Yeah. I wonder if the stick had anything to do with propped resale. Jeep people are strange.
Your thoughts and analysis matter. We just want you to fkn buy it and tell us all about it. Then we get to time how long it takes for your to become bored of it.max225 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 13, 2017 2:12 pmSo... if I assume I am out tax+depreciation of only 3k a year... I.E the JLU will still be worth 36k after 3 years... which seems like a LOT.... that's a far more reasonable $375 a month... hmm but do we really think that?Johnny_P wrote: ↑Wed Dec 13, 2017 2:08 pm
Plan on 3, sell it private party for what you paid for it initially, you're only out tax and tags. Jeep will keep increasing the price on these every year, that's how the JK's price has stayed propped up for so long. Detroit didn't lose much of anything on his other than tax and his didn't even come with real doors. Just some scaffolding and a tent.
Still in Сибирь doe. Dat Asian land mass.max225 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 13, 2017 2:18 pmBarnaul, bro. Vladivostok is as far from her as new york from sf.Desertbreh wrote: ↑Wed Dec 13, 2017 2:17 pm
Because 40 days after he buys it he'll want a performance car. Also this is money he could be hoarding to launch a startup and be somebody in the Pay Area, maybe even get himself a white girl that wasn't born in Vladivostok.
Time to get bored with it... likely not very soon... ~2 years. However I am more concerned about things like losing my "job" and or relocating to the heard of BUM infested SF. In either case I would have made an incredibly shitty financial decision.
Why the quotes?

Watching Demuro's video makes me want one moar.
I want Jeep to launch the configurator so I can continue to froth at the mouth.
I am worked really hard where I am currently... and paid really well. I don't know if that is a permanent situation. I am not like a football player that goes to a strip club on pay day and buys a Bentley only to go broke by 35.
It's entirely possible. There's demand in the used market for Jeeps, but nobody seems to buy them new. It's that there will be a on the JL at all.

I have no desire to own a bubble tire ox cart barge with a row your own manual if there's a decent automatic available.

Different trans, but similar performance. I love the 8-speed in my truck.[user not found] wrote: ↑Wed Dec 13, 2017 2:38 pm
The 5-speed in the JK is not good. Slow to react, slow to shift... meh.
But, 8-speed has potential. Really liked the 8-speed in the Colorado.
