Don't drive it daily in Chernobyl while eating borscht.

I added another candidate to my potential yet not 100% appliance DD list recently: 2010-12 Genesis Coupe w/ V6 +
I haven't driven one, but reviews are promising for the price. Looks like something in between a 370Z and G37 but cheaper than either and it runs on 87. Yes, the 50-100 cents a gallon discount here for 87 is a significant savings MAX!

You have a racekar and a hooptie yet you’re talking about a bunch of money on a kimchi coupe to save money on regular ?troyguitar wrote: ↑Fri Nov 03, 2017 10:13 pm I added another candidate to my potential yet not 100% appliance DD list recently: 2010-12 Genesis Coupe w/ V6 +

I'm talking about a more fun DD that's still pretty cheap but not necessarily the cheapest thing possible.

I was thinking first gen 3.8 w/ brembros and torsen. Every review is positive

Seems for a cheap NFG car. About on par with an 11-14 V6 rustang but with better seats/suspension/brakes and a little smaller footprint.

YAS. These are what, MkIV-ish size now? That was perfect IMHO.[user not found] wrote: ↑Mon Nov 06, 2017 1:32 pm I just want the Polo GTI over here. Always have. Neat little car.
That said, I feel like Polo coming to US rumors have been happening since the first time VW Vortex crashed and burned, so like, the better part of two decades. Not holding my breath.

If new Polo has IRS, then it would be neat... IIRC the old one was twist beam which means you might as well get a Fiesta ST.stripethree wrote: ↑Mon Nov 06, 2017 2:27 pmYAS. Is the Polo actually better in that regard? The Abarth isn't and IIRC even the mazda2 has the fucked up miniminivan ergonomics. Sonic is that way too.

Betting the Polo would have more useful interior space compared to FiST - doubt ergos would be much better

Id so FiST over the other options. Mazda2 is hideous. Abarth is for the exhaust. But thats about it for that car. And Polo looks off to me.
But I has miata so thats better.

I had a 2011 3.8 Track. One of the worst driving/riding cars I ever owned and I kept it only ~6 months. The suspension was way too stiff for the road and the car was all over the place. The build quality was better than I expected for a Kia.troyguitar wrote: ↑Mon Nov 06, 2017 1:56 pmI was thinking first gen 3.8 w/ brembros and torsen. Every review is positive

G37 doesn't have a better exterior than anything. It's full-on bloated bulbasaur Altima styling.max225 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 06, 2017 2:17 pm https://sfbay.craigslist.org/pen/ctd/d/ ... 24084.html

Gencoupe would require a long hunt to find a non-trashed v6 brembro non-sunroof model at a low price, so there's no real point in any of it. I only see one for sale currently and ain't nobody paying $14k for a used hyundai.
