So I spent some time in a new Chevy Cruze.
It is an interesting vehicle. It has a very nice size for a 4 door. I think it can actually carry 4 ppl and their shit.
It is very quiet, on both the freeway and other roads. It is also nice and soft riding... however
FUCKING GM START STOP CAN NOT BE TURNED OFF. It is absolutely
on a hot day car turns the fuck off and starts blowing short air, and the system is not seamless intrusive etc. Like
My minion is averaging around 35mpg... which I suppose isn't bad. However she was gettin 37 in her mazda 3.
I know but still interesting. GM's "small" car is bigger than a honda accord from the 00s

Even the last gen Cruze was surprisingly quiet. They're solid appliances.

I rented a cruze when I was in california. Drove that bitch from San Fran to Tahoe, to the redwoods in Humboldt county, and back down to SF. It was comfy, quiet as hell, drove nicely, and had a half decent radio. Nice and compact but still enough room inside. Fuel mileage was low IMO with the turbo engine, I think I averaged 30 MPG but that's not terribad. I thought the 6AT was pretty dimwitted and the engine ran out of steam in the upper revs but overall it wasn't bad at all. They have McStruts up front and a torsion beam with a watts link out back so they really aren't horrible on twisty roads.max225 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 01, 2017 2:44 pm So I spent some time in a new Chevy Cruze.

appliance at all. The Mazda is more fun I guess and more premium inside but also a tin can in comparison. The 9th gen base Civic is a notably shittier car all around than the Cruze.

Re: start stop.... the Escape I rented recently had that shit. And it would kill the engine at every stop sign and you'd lose the electric power steering which was

Just unnerving is all. Stop car, look around turn, and the steering wheel is rock hard in your hands and won't budge because car is ded.

Her 3 is a bit older 2012, man I really don’t like that car. I don’t fit into it and the passenger seat is not hight adjustable, tiny rear seat tons of road noise. Overall poverty experienceJohnny_P wrote: ↑Wed Nov 01, 2017 4:03 pmI rented a cruze when I was in california. Though I watched a girl I know trying to park her Audi for ever using the 360 degree camera, she still wasn't in the spot straight and didn't know how to interpret the lines on the screen and beeps. She has a PHD, yet can't park a car.
