It's no garage mahal, but it'll do for now - I'm surprised with the amount of room inside now that all my stuff is inside. I was thinking it'd be a wee bit tight.

It also needs some structural work - sill plates on the south side are rotten, and there's some termite damage in the south rear corner. Plan is to blow out the back about 20 feet, lay fresh concrete, strip the structure to the bones and re-clothe it and repair any major structural defects, and then insulate it and electrify it. Overall it's pretty sound, it just needs some love.

FIL gave me a quote of about $4-5k to do that, so... maybe next year, late summer, we'll tackle it.

That seems like a 5/7 plan! Will be a sweet garage for sure then.

Once the main structure is complete, I'm sure that you can do some of that stuff yourself

So the :derp: s came back this morning to correctly install my AC, which they did thanks to me telling them exactly what to do and how it needed to be installed, and with wife translating for me. They showed up an hour late because it had been raining over night but once they got here it took them a bit less than 2 hours to do the install. And, unlike before, the thing is in there solid, with the necessary slight tilt to let water drain, and properly grounded to the metal sleeve. All of which was not done the first time they tried and which would not have been done this time if I wasn't there.

Does that have a vent on the bottom of it? My mom had one that looked like that and I probably need one like that to vent from my stove once I get a new one.

Did a shit ton of work on the house prepping. Made a last minute decision to ditch the fiance's choice of shitty Walmart brand liquor and go straight rapper style.

Also cut out some vinyl logos for the electronic spout under the bar. Since at our other parties no one really knew about this unless someone went to show it off, I decided to make it obvious with the logos. I'm expecting people to see GREY GOOSE and kill that shit.

Vinyl'd the regular drinks in the mini-fridge, water, and Ice BALLZ so that I don't have to explain to people where the non-alcoholic shit is.

I was so happy when I got my new dishwasher. Only to find out that my woman didn't like loading it, unloading it, or even using it. It got accused of being my "favorite toy". All because I actually used it

It’s such a time saver because I do the vast majority of the dishes. I ain’t got time to stand in front of the sink for hours.
My only problem is that the sink still fills up. WHY DID I SPEND A GRAND ON A NICE ASS DISHWASHER FOR YOU TO JUST PILE SHIT UP HOOD RAT STYLE!?!?!
