FWIW I vastly preferred the way the GTI drove with 17s vs 18s when I was shopping back in 2010. It seemed more eager to turn and gripped harder. But the tires were different between the two, with 17s getting Contis and 18s getting Dunlops or something.
I traded my Detroits for Denvers 4 days after I bought my car for just those reasons, and got a $300 check from the to boot.

There is no choo choo in that diesel. It is a italian unicorn tear made V6 that is expensive as shit to maintain and complicated as fk.
It also adds like 500lbs over a regular JGC. a fking 5100lbs ...

Yes it's a cool car. But prepare the lube/sawdust.

I've never driven one, so I might go see what it's like.

In 2010 the 18s were a $1k option IIRC.
I remember when I wanted a mk6 when they just came out, during my senior year of high school, they had like 4-5 different options for wheels, i really liked the black 5 spokes. Then in 2011, detroits became the only wheel, then 2012, autobahn got those ugly serrons, then '13 and up got lagunas, damn vw changes a lot

The Lagunas are the nicest, imo
Where are these mangos?

I don't understand anything anymore.

I bought mine at end of April 2012, if I could've waited for 4-5 more months, I could've end up getting that.

Michelle likes the GC. It'll probably be her next car. Funny that we both planned on moving to Jeep next without talking about it together beforehand.
My sister has a 2013 Jeep GC. It's pretty much a rolling block of mediocrity. Decent for a woman's car , they do at least look nice.

Yeah I think they look good, and she just wants something big enough to haul kids and dogs around in comfortably.

I guess my issue with the JGC is that it's pretty large and yet not that large inside. At that size, I'd rather just drive a three row SUV or minivan. I'd probably get the CX-9.

I'd look at the Durango too. I owned an old ass one for a while and loved it. Also rented a 2015 and it was amazeballs by suv standards. Huge inside and out, refined, stylish and comfortable.

Ah well, gon' . What does she drive currently? ?
She was looking at the CX-5, but decided it was a little small. Not sure if she’s compared the interior space or just exteriors so far. Currently in a 2012 Mazda3
