You are gaining zero from this "raise" by the time you add in all of your extra hours and the extra hours+money blown commuting. McDonald's on the corner pays more than zero.
Also. Is the job more interesting?

Nice man! One of my favorite weekends was spent out in Denver.. A bunch of bars all got together to sponsor this event where it was a giant slip'n'slide down a hill in a park. You were allowed to bring your own booze as long as it wasn't in glass containers, but they also had booths set up selling alcohol and shirts and stuff. It was a blast. The slide was probably a good 50-60 yards long, and they just had huge buckets of KY up at the top to lube up with We'd slide down next to each other and grab the other persons ankle and try to spin them as hard as we could. I made it down once staying up on my feet the whole time. Everyone was cheering for me, but then I got scolded by one of the staffers cause they thought I was going to rip through the vinyl sheet or whatever it was.HighwayStarPatrick wrote: ↑Fri Jul 07, 2017 1:14 pm Roommates rented an inflatable slip n slide for the weekend. Anyone here use e-readers? Thinking Kindle Paperwhite so I don't have to worry about constantly charging it, or filling the memory with stupid apps and games that I could just have on my phone instead... but then Kindle Fire could be nice to have some extras like games/music/movies...
Input?

I kind of want pics. Kind of dont. But kind of do for dat proof.
My mom uses a Kindle every day (the non-tablet kind). She had an older touch screen one with no built-in light, but I bought her the Paperwhite which has a built in light. I have the tablet version...I don't really use it too often. In fact, I don't even have it at my apartment, it's at my mom's house. Also, unless you root the Kindle Fire, you can only access Amazon's app store, not Google Play.SAWCE wrote: ↑Fri Jul 07, 2017 1:34 pm Anyone here use e-readers? If you care about reading books and not about apps, get a normal Kindle eReader. The Paperwhite is viewable in any type of environment, in the house, in the dark, outside in the sun, at the beach, etc. With a tablet, if you are outside, good luck trying to read.
