I work all weekend

But, paying my dues so that I can have long weekends ftw if I move on up in the company.

Working in a retail store, or for one will usually mean that you will never have a traditional weekend of Sat+Sun.

No but if I move on to a leadership role (which I could after 1 year of working the floor since I have my degree already), I can totes enjoy salaried bennies.

Just got a cryptic email from my boss that we're getting Monday as a freebie holiday....

Not sure what that means doe. Hmmmm

we were "given" monday and tuesday "off"

means mandatory use your own PTO the office is closed. Doesnt really matter as 80% of office isnt working and there is no real billable work, along with no one in the company left with any PTO after sucking on it to cover benefit draw over 6 months.

My company does this during the week of Christmas. It's annoying.. We're required to take four days of our PTO. Northrop did a shut down like that, but they gave it to us as holiday days and we only got 8 other paid Holidays (including Christmas and New Years) instead of the seemingly normal 11 total.. so that all balanced out.. This company only gives us 8 holidays during the year and forces us to take PTO or LWOP during that shutdown.

I flew Spirit one time from San Jose to Seattle... Pretty sure it was just a Cessna that was sent in for a custom stretch job like a towncar limo.

Spirit is the worst experience I've ever had. And pro tip, when you add in all the shit you pretty much have to buy, it's no cheaper than any other airline.

Spirit is the worst experience I've ever had. And pro tip, when you add in all the shit you pretty much have to buy, it's no cheaper than any other airline.

I prefer Delta or JetBlue. 5/7 experiences, albeit more

Ava chewed more stuff yesterday while I was at work Took a new approach and instead of getting visibly mad at her, I just completely ignored her for a few hours after I got home. Directed all my attention towards Kai and when I let them out for the bathroom made sure to only talk to him. Still trying to figure out why she's acting up. I did notice she's been eating her food much faster than usual, so maybe she's just hitting a growth spurt and is hurting/hungry from that. Gave her an extra cup of food this morning and she scarffed it down. We'll see how the house looks when I get home tonight.
