That 550i is the Death Star of future repair costs.
The 330i is merely the Star Destroyer of future repair costs.
Going to go look at Hyundai Elantras. Ktxbras.

New set of bushings for a 10 year old bmw or week long trip to hawaii. Let me see which one of those two I'd chose.

It's well established that I'm a yuuge fan of these.
I wonder how fast 981s will drop, there are a few under $40k.

981s are where it is at if you ask me. The prior gens are way too expensive for how old they areD Griff wrote: ↑Sat Mar 24, 2018 12:52 pm I wonder how fast 981s will drop, there are a few under $40k.

Double the cost. But if the early gen ends up needing a new motor it evens out. A 981 under $40k sounds pretty reasonable to memax225 wrote: ↑Sat Mar 24, 2018 1:31 pm981s are where it is at if you ask me. 1/2 the age. Far better interior/exterior and 1/2 the miles on average. I mean its not like you get the same car at 1/2 off. The 987 is just too rare because they came out and were produced during the recession, the 981 far outsold the 987 which is why it is going down in price.
But seriously though... soon enough C7s will be where it is at. GM made a metric ton of em and the new gen is not too far out, while the earlier C7s are 1/2 a decade old now.
I have thought about this too, maybe in a year 981s will be closing in on $30k... C7 could be possible too. C6GS/Z could be high 20s? It seems like the used car "bubble" may actually be starting to burst. Unfortunately this has hit the C5 too, they're really not worth all that much anymore.max225 wrote: ↑Sun Mar 25, 2018 11:40 pm1/2 the age. Far better interior/exterior and 1/2 the miles on average. And they shouldn't be. But there is always a floor at least historically at around 10-15k for a clean sub 100k mile corvette with a manual. So the C5 doesn't have far to fall.D Griff wrote: ↑Sun Mar 25, 2018 11:49 pmI have thought about this too, maybe in a year 981s will be closing in on $30k... C7 could be possible too. It just makes less enticing given my car is only worth $12k or so .max225 wrote: ↑Sun Mar 25, 2018 11:54 pmAnd they shouldn't be. True, it's overall , but the first couple years of ownershit it was firm at $16k+... It's just a small amount of money I stand to make by selling it really.
I'm so damn indecisive about this.

Nice looking car. Hilarious that they excluded "freight" cost in the sales price there. $1100 added back on. And mandatory wheel locks installed by and I'm sure you have to be a 1 legged farming widow of a War of 1812 Veteran with a kid that has leukemia to qualify for all rebates.Detroit wrote: ↑Wed Mar 28, 2018 4:45 pm http://www.criswellchevroletofthurmont. ... 5923#close

I usually quality for discounts because of my employment status. It's not out of the realm of possibility that I could score this for $60k all-in.

That is one sexy fking car. Who can beat that for 57-60k... ?! I don't like the orange but the paint is supposedly on part for other cars now and not yugo quality as with the other corvettes/C7s!Detroit wrote: ↑Wed Mar 28, 2018 4:45 pm http://www.criswellchevroletofthurmont. ... 5923#close

The color is certainly polarizing. I absolutely LOVE it. I want this car so bad it's ridiculous.max225 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 28, 2018 5:00 pmThat is one sexy fking car. Who can beat that for 57-60k... ?! I just can't justify the price for how little I'd drive it.
