Right there in Detroit. Pristine.
Called this guy, he actually drove it this winter, it has 35,000 miles on it a scratch on the front fender and he'll take $8500.

The mileage proves that it wasn't driven in many winters, . Finding a Meatchicken car that wasn't driven in the winter is win on so many levels. Usually if someone's rich enough to do this, they go no expense spared on maintenance and whatnot.

Smog COULD be an issue, doe. There aren't enough people here to impact smog, so we don't have smog testing. No guarantee you can take it straight to your local smog place and it pass on the first try.

He did. Thus the 12K mileage increase, thus the drop to $8500. I don't have time to be wiring you money and having you piss away leisure time dicking around with 17 year old Mercedes. (Right now) Why do I hate money bro? I just need to step away from the drugs, wait till my daughter finishes driver ed/gets a license, see if she can drive the Tahoe, and go from there. Park the Tahoe outside and get a Heep?Detroit wrote: ↑Mon Mar 19, 2018 8:38 amHe did drive it this past winter?Desertbreh wrote: ↑Sun Mar 18, 2018 8:10 pm

I like this "see if she can drive..." talk. When I got my license, it was either my dad's beater S-10, or I walked. There's no "see if can..." anything.

Old luxo cars as a first car is a terribad idea, we discussed this already. Get her a buick with a 3.8 V6 or anything with that motor from GM. Impala etc. It'll be 4-5k, readily available and never break.Desertbreh wrote: ↑Mon Mar 19, 2018 12:04 pmHe did. Thus the 12K mileage increase, thus the drop to $8500. I know someone with a dirt cheap Crown Vic that would make an epic first car.max225 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 19, 2018 12:40 pmOld luxo cars as a first car is a terribad idea, we discussed this already. My sister has a 2006 Malibu MaxXXX that my dad leased for her new when she turned 16. She still has it...
The car has been neglected beyond belief. Just ticked over 200k miles and continues to go strong.
A basic cheap "no frills" American car is a great first car IMO.

Yeah I have to agree with this. An SLK430 sounds like a bad idea for a first driver but what do I know, I learned on pickemup trucks with V8 engines.Detroit wrote: ↑Mon Mar 19, 2018 12:43 pm My sister has a 2006 Malibu MaxXXX that my dad leased for her new when she turned 16. She still has it...

She's like 4'11". But yes, we all came from the same background. And the only reason I'm flirting with bad behavior is because I'm a bored car guy.Detroit wrote: ↑Mon Mar 19, 2018 12:34 pmDesertbreh wrote: ↑Mon Mar 19, 2018 12:04 pm

Why don't you just take the money you save and strap a blower to the GS like you said you would?Desertbreh wrote: ↑Mon Mar 19, 2018 12:49 pmShe's like 4'11". But yes, we all came from the same background. And the only reason I'm flirting with bad behavior is because I'm a bored car guy.
