Wait... she fking took your ? Because of the tire blow outs... and you were "forced" to drive a "volt" to work ?
I thought we went over this...
She did take the truck due to blowouts, but at the same time I got a new job where I have free EV parking. She doesn't have free EV parking anymore. So I willfully traded with her for
Now that we'll carpool, we can cut our monthly gas expenditure to next to nothing if we just drive the Volt together.
But don't you want to drive the truck because it is fun? Your job is close and it is what... $3.50 a day at most in gas roundtrip since you're not too far from the office.
That level of makes little sense

I do miss the truck, I enjoy driving it far more than the Volt. But it gets horrendous gas mileage...17mpg if I'm lucky. I fill that thing up once every two weeks at $45-$50 per shot. Plus, we take it on a lot of trips, so I'm trying to keep the mileage down. I drive 20 miles/day round trip.

My guess would be that Chris took some time off because he has read the dialogue on this page 1,345 times and decided to spend some of his free time doing something besides beating a horse to death.

20 miles a day even at $3 a gallon and I think you guys are less are around what... ~3.50$ a day Seems totally worth it.
I thought your last truk came in way under mileage? Don't too much and enjoy your truk mang. It is a great machine.

I honestly don't know what gas is at...haven't bought it in over a month.
Usually around $2.50, doe.
I turned the last truck in way under mileage, BUT we didn't take it on as many trips as the ZR2. It's already at 6k miles, and I've only had it since September. That's on par for 12k miles/year.
Corvette is coming out in a week...so that will be the main driver for a while too.

Damn gas is cheap over there. It makes no sense to have any kind of electric vehicle over there.
We're at 3.50 for regular here. And even that is dirt cheap. I don't think i'd flinch until it hits $10 a gallon at which point it will start to make a difference.

Yea...
At this point, I'm just trying to force the justification for the Volt. It really doesn't make sense. Good thing we got it for so cheap. Unfortunately, it's worthless.
Sad, it's really a great car.

Man, back when I was shopping for my GTI in 2011, I looked at an identical GLI to this one.... it was for sale for $5,800 at the time. At that point I thought it was a pretty dece buy.

You bought it, right? Not lease?
'It's weird how much e-cars depreciate... really.
Well you get 7500-10000 on the hood from obama/trump
Well you get 7500-10000 on the hood from obama/trump
Yeah, which is , but that's a different conversation. Get paid to get a car where you avoid most car taxes after the fact
But still, he made it sound like even after all of that he's lost his ass on it, which is crazy given it was only like $23k. I wonder what it's worth now.

Yep, paid $23k for it after the tax credit. KBB and NADA estimate that it's worth $16-$18k retail. So MAYBE $11k trade? No idea if that's real or not. That's $12k in 2 years and 15k miles...pretty bad IMO.

The crazy thing is that MSRP was something like $35k.

Although these Touaregs are supposed to be pretty damn reliable.
So is the MK6 GTI
lol no, the Gen 1 TSI is a pile. I'm a dork and listen to that Humble Mechanic dude on occasion, and he actually speaks pretty highly of the current gen Touareg.
