Saw V10 F1 cars in person and don't hate the turbos. Then again, I was always one that thought the TDI/hybrid LMP1 Audis sounded cool from the get go. You could hear tires and drivetrain. Same thoughts on Formula E. I like braps and brubs but other sounds are pleasing too.

also, hearing the person calling the race, and the person sitting next to you for that matter, is NOT overrated.

The C7R sounds good, but it sounds like a C7, the Astons sound like fire and brimstone of biblical proportions.

Singapore. Ugh.
Spoilers below, highlight to be spoiled.
I'm surprised that Vettel was cleared of any responsibility in that incident. He got a meh start and possibly fucked his championship hopes by either not looking in his mirrors and/or making a stupid, stupid move that early in the race. Essentially contributes to taking out his teammate, himself, Max, and hands Lewis a 28 point championship lead.
Also starting to feel bad super for Max. Dude can't catch a break. Car seemed to be working well this weekend, he damn near puts it on pole and is out before the first fucking corner. I'd be livid.
Also, anytime Danny Ric is on the podium I he's always happy. Love that guy, awesome to have in racing. Even when shits been bad he always seems to be like fuck yeah let's do this again and kick some ass.

Vettel gets meh start and decide to try to squeeze Verstappen without realizing that Raikkonen was on the inside.stripethree wrote: ↑Mon Sep 18, 2017 10:37 am Singapore. Ugh.

That said, even if Vettel had held is line, they were never going to make it through the 1st turn without contact. Verstappen would've had to back out for there to be any chance.
I felt the worst for Alonso getting collected in the melee

Jorge Lorenzo - raced 2 days after breaking his collar bone. Motorcycle racers are a different breed.

Also Rossi's ability to make this Yamaha about as wide as a dump truck for a good portion of the race.stripethree wrote: ↑Sun Sep 24, 2017 7:51 pm Rossi is a goddamn legend... 23 days after a broken leg.

I love how he doesn't even wear armor. That's for people who fall.

trials riders tend not to wear much even in competition. Occasionally a back protector or chest protector.SixSpeeder wrote: ↑Mon Sep 25, 2017 4:58 pmtroyguitar wrote: ↑Mon Sep 25, 2017 12:14 pm I love how he doesn't even wear armor. That's for people who fall.

I remember watching Travis Pastrana's TV show back in the day and being by how gracefully they would fall 30' and get right back up and try it again.
