I got's teh quote for $1500 :doe:
Labor to remove the diff and rebuild with 4.10's ?
Yup, that's not including the clutch packs, which he said would be another $150. I'm struggling to think it's a bad idea at this price.

Shit man, I paid more than that just to have the diff rebuilt. I did send it off to a highly recommended shop. :doe:

I dug into it, and people were saying it didn't fit.

Seriously? Have you not heard me talk about this multiple times? Why you think I'm looking for 2 more 18" Zs?
It's THE Cam setup breh. Just maybe need spacers to make it match the same offset as the stock fronts. That I need to look up, but yes, it's the most common tire setup that the C5 guys are running. The only reason I wouldn't run it is if they change some of the CAM rules and I'd have to go STU or something like that. I read somewhere that They might be allowing C7s into CAM-S, but can't verify that anywhere on teh intarwebz

This is the burnt out Z06 18s with 315s on them. I drove around with these. They fit. Maybe the Base C5s are a little different but I wouldn't think they would be. I could be wrong.

Hang on, I'm trying to find some definitive proof as to what's needed to run 315s all around, base or Z.
For myself and to let you know what the deal is.

Lots of people are running 315s and suggest it. They suggest 315/30 over a 305/35 in the front.
One comment kind of validated how I felt once I drove mine on the street
They'll rub at full lock but everywhere else they are good to go.

Not cheap.
This is pretty much what I paid for my rear 19s. Only thing is I'm buying 2 more. MOAR MONIEZ!
Next season I still planned on it. Partially because Mike Long is running 305s in the front of his SS so I've gotta keep him from winning... And the other half is so I can keep Mary-Kay from winning and possibly get Kendra to start beating him. MUHAHAHHAHAHHA

Rub at full lock up front is correct, might also rub the plastic inner fender in the rear over sharp impacts but it's no big deal. 315/30 is definitely better than 305/35.

That's a steal. Is it a reputable shop?

I ran 315s out back and they were essentially almost rubbing/slightly rubbing the inner wheel liner, I ran 265s up front.

Well... I can't find a ton of information. Only reviews are good, but not much data. I've put inquiries out to local clubs on the Goodbook, hopefully I can learn more.

Some of the local SCCA bros have used this shop and have great reviews. Methinks I'll call them at the first of the year and schedule an appointment. They can do the work while I drop the car for a work week.
