I'm using some Turtle Beach headphones, at least I think. They're X11s or X12s. Lemme google it to make sure.
Yeah, That's them. Some of the worst audio I think I've heard from these things.
I started using them since my Razer headset broke, these were my old Xbox backups. I use it because it's got a mic and I need it for co-op shit with my buddies.
I'm tempted to buy another nice headset. I actually have some Sennheiser studio monitors that are fucking phenominal, but they're nearly completely isolated and I'd have to rig up a mic somewhere. Maybe it's time to just order a new headset. I'm sure the new Turtle beach stuff is a lot better than their old budget stuff... Which this headset pretty much was.
yea, well i may not be the most critical on audio quality these days, its a YUGE upgrade over the tv speakers. Like, they have bass. BASS!
I was considering getting another set of Razers because I loved everything about them, but the quality with that brand has just proven to not be there multiple times. I've gone thru 3 of their expensive mouses, and this last headset. On 2 of my Razer 12 button mice the scroll wheel didn't push in anymore. At home it's one thing because it affected how I played WoW. At work it REALLY pissed me off because that's what I use to Pan in Solidworks. And I use it a LOT.
Problem is at home I need a 12 button mouse for certain games.

I decided that I'm not going to go :fullretard: and buy a Rift or triple monitor setup along with an improved graphics card and power supply to run it, so I just ordered a 29" 21:9 single monitor on :scrooge: sale this weekend. $160 after $20 promo code EMCXPEPY3 and $20 rebate:

https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product. ... 6824025038

Should work nicely with my GTX 1060 3GB at 75 Hz and be quite an upgrade.

Sweet :jesus: screens have gotten cheap.
:dat:

The screen is pretty :fuckyeah:

Definitely helps with realism and being able to see more of the corners. This is about as many pixels as my PC can handle too, had to turn down a couple of settings but it runs with frame rates in the 75-100 area on mostly maxed settings. 5/7 for sure.

Got the forza 7 cup. played most of it with no driver aids and on 40-60% difficulty. I can do 80% on tracks I 'know'.

Pretty impressive. I think if I get a real wheel setup instead of this $90 thrustmaster pos I may fair better.

:fax: wins hands down on awesome setup for fraction of new cost.

I can’t easily find the chair setup local. Could home brew a slider for existing car seat.
they pop up from time to time; i got lucky with the timing on this one.
What site do you search on? I'm :derp: when buying used stuff online.

It’s $1800. But you’re going to spend another grand on the seat and wheel/pedal setup. You could easily be over 3k for this.

Any recs on a folding stand? I have a g27 and my homemade wood stand is...not working well in my office. I already have a car seat so just need the stand.

I have a Playseat Challenge. It's solid, folds up well and is easy to stuff in a closet.

1800 is relatively cheap for what I see in that video. Poor people spend that much on golfing per year and suck at it.

Buy that mugga lugga.

That thing looks legit and is likely worth the money. But its still a solid chunk of change. If I were more active in racing I think that I could get down with this. But I have yet to actually track my car. Ive only done 1 autox.

That should all change once I get back to the states though.

I'd be worried those hydraulics would break. I want to see what happens with that chair when you go wide at Willow springs where there aren't any barriers

No worries on durability? Simple to repair?

If I had a place to put it, if consider it.

Cheaper than golf would be my argument, just more upfront cost.
