If I tried to call out for not getting enough sleep I would not only feel like a POS. But im sure my supervisor would laugh at me.

I really don't understand that mentality. I truly don't. It's not safe to drive when you have a lack of sleep, could even be more dangerous than driving drunk. I can't focus, can't keep my eyes open. I mean, every person is different, but damn...if I can't sleep it's awful for me.

The military does well at teaching you to work sleep deprived. Plus I guess our ability to function on less sleep differs. Its not only a mentality thing. But a you need to get shit done and youre fucking others over if you call out for not getting your 8 hours of sleep.

Not all nights are perfect nights, sometimes you got this shits, sometimes you can't stop thinking, some people have kids, and they can tell you that sometimes you have to suck it up, and got work without a full night's sleep.

Boss wants me to publish our monthly update power point bullshit presentation that's 20+ pages and nobody reads. Pro tip: Stop sending stuff like this for a month or two and see what happens, if nobody mentions anything to you NOBODY WAS READING IT. Which is what I did, just flat out fucking stopped sending them. Crickets for 4 months. And now he wants me to send it out for some unknown reason.

I do this with regular reports all the time. Once people stop asking for it or commenting when I send it out, I give it a month or two then stop and see what happens. 5 times out of 7, nobody notices.
