Who all on here rocks a beard most of the time? I know myself and do, but mine is by choice...
Do you use products, or go au naturel? Groom it yourself, or go full and have a barber do your dirty work for you?
There is a small company out of Texas called Beard Supply that I like for oils. The only one of their scents I've tried that I didn't love was Deep Woods, smelled too earthy and too much like rotted wood... IPA, Winter Spice, and their Old Fashioned were all great. Planning on trying their Harvest Spice scent next. I typically oil it every morning after waking up and washing my face, sometimes I'll oil it at night too after I shower if it's feeling dry.
I trim it myself too, although if I have an event where I need to look nice, I'll go to a barber and have them clean up the edges along my cheeks and shape it a little bit so it looks more controlled.
Do you even beard, bro?

No, bro. A poll invites all you clean shaven ladyboys in here, while not making it a poll obviously makes it super exclusive and somewhere where we won't go off topic.
Am I DFDing correctly?

Currently:
Almost 6 months of growth with only minor trims to clean up stray hairs. Planning on going for a full year with no major trims. It's kinda dry right now as I ran out of oil last week and haven't ordered more yet.

I am not capable of growing facial hair, really.

I suprisingly don't get too much animal hair in my beard with how much the two shed, but food is a stuggle. It was getting real bad recently, so I actually trimmed quite a bit off the mustache part. Any sort of sauce, or liquid-like substance is guaranteed to get stuck in there so I have to be extra diligent with napkin usage and usually have to make a quick trip to rinse it out after eating anything like that. This morning, for example, was some over-easy eggs, yolk all in my mustache.[user not found] wrote: ↑Thu Aug 03, 2017 5:20 pmI don't mind rockin' a little scruff, but what I hate is food and animal hair caught in the facial hair. I shave every morning, otherwise I feel disgusting. I'm sure I could grow a ZZ Top beard if I could stand the feel of it.

If you can get past the first week or two it isn't bad at all. You'll hit a few awkward stages where you hate how it looks, but if you give it another week or two you usually get over that feeling.

I am not allowed to grow a beard because of work
I need to be able to wear a respirator at any given moment if I'm in certain areas of the plant, and a beard will compromise the seal the respirator makes with your face, according to our safety people here.
