Nice progress man! I think the non metallic orange is a lot better, personally. Should be :jimp:

Orange FTW either way :doe:

Adding my $0.02 to this epic effort, would agree with Dan on the non-metallic orange.

So, after losing bolts on the driveshaft yesterday, I made it home, replaced bolts and got it running.

Here's the big news. I'm going to paint the car myself. I've done some good jobs with rattle cans over the years, so I figure why not give this a go. I'm confident I can get decent results, for less than $1,000 worth of equipment and paint.

The gun I'm going to use is an Earlex 5500 turning HVLP system. I got paint on the way as well.

So, starting off with more rust repair, I patched up a shittt hole for the exhaust, I'll trim it up once the epoxy dries, and I began the tear-down process.

Yeah, oh well, it's non structural, and I'll hide it with my :melon: magic.

Worst case it falls off and I re-do it. :aintcare:

Made more progress with disassembly.

Taking my time, doing rust repair, cataloging all the tabs, connectors, and minor things I'll need to replace as I go.

So how do you like that lift solution? How easy is it to store when it isn't in use? I dream of a day when I'm not getting cars off the ground with Harbor Freight jacks that sound worse the tin man from Oz.

Quickjack?
It's worth every penny.

Right now I'm using the pinch weld jack points, but I'll move it further under the car to the "frame rail" mounts when I paint, will make it super easy. Just raise and lower the car as I need.

FWIW, it saved my C5 from the flood.

Well I don't have mine yet, so if it sucks I'm going to blame :melon:

But for 98% of the jobs I'm willing to do myself it should make life easier.
