https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/artic ... lass-2016/
Thanks for that. Still think we're going to have to agree to disagree. Until we live in a world where a 255 is a 255 is a 255, that's going to be extremely brand dependent. The test even notes different rim sizes as optimal for the Maxxis vs Rival S.
That's because they're testing a 245 Maxxis vs 225 Rival. Sure some things run vastly different in widths, but all recent competitive tires are similar at this point from R1R/RS3/RE11 to the newer 200 treadwear stuff to the Hoosier A6/A7 - you always want some stretch. On top of being faster, the tires simply feel better on the wider wheel.

Of course when you have rules that limit wheel width and not tire width, all of that goes out the window and you end up with Street class garbage like running 225's pinched on a 6" wheel because they're slightly quicker than smaller tires even though they feel like shit and wear through the outer shoulders quickly. :derp:

All of those are worth putting on a 10 inch wheel, assuming rules allow it.

I like the R32. I should do off road racing in my STI. That would be rad.

Also. Does an STI count as a blue sports car? If so I have a blue sports car.

Man. Super jelly of the S2k. I'd love one of those, but don't really fit in them all that well. An ND might be in the cards in the future though, I seem to be able to wedge myself into those.

Yeah the S2Ks lack of steering wheel adjustability really kills it for a lot of people. Luckily, most of my 6' are legs, so I could just slam that seat back as needed. I tend to like driving closer to the wheel than most people my build though. See: photos of me leaning out of the car to look ahead at autox or on the Tail.

Oh, and yeah, R32 and STIs not sports cars. Just fancy fast econoboxes.
