Gotcha. I didn't end up getting mine done. The guy was really good but he didn't have the skillz for those windows. I'm at 70% so it's not noticeable from the outside and only noticeable to a discerning eye from the inside. If it were any darker I'd insist that get done. Sounds like your place is 5/7
They are 5/7. I'll take close ups of the quarter windows tomorrow. I can barely tell the difference from driver side to passenger due to that silicone. I don't think my car was an octoberfest car either.Tarspin wrote: ↑Fri Mar 23, 2018 7:28 pmGotcha. I didn't end up getting mine done. No special tools that I saw and they didn't remove any trim from around it either.
The only trim they removed was the top and side panels from the inside of the hatch.
Hopefully no more issues.
First detail after winter. Not exactly [user not found]-spec but decent. I used entire too much never dull on the exhaust tips and they're still not 100%.
Summer shoes will probably go back on mid April. Calling for a little bit of snow on Monday.

I need to detail the 1LE, badly. I haven't washed it since January and have just let the rain take care of it.

I've had it for quite awhile, but I am still evaluating the engine and the oil burning issue before I install it. Going to check the amount of oil again this weekend. If it is burning more oil I need to get that fixed under warranty first.Gberg2119 wrote: ↑Sun Apr 01, 2018 1:50 pmThe JohnnyP special wash.CorvetteWaxer wrote: ↑Sun Apr 01, 2018 12:10 pm

It varies, I noticed the drain pan looked "light" a couple times, then after another change and a couple thousand miles I got a low warning light and it was down 2 quarts. This last change I haven't seen the light, but it only comes on when it is 2 quarts low, so I need to measure it out when I change it this weekend.max225 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 02, 2018 11:56 amHow much oil is it burning again?CorvetteWaxer wrote: ↑Mon Apr 02, 2018 11:40 am

I traditionally lift at the designated spot on the pinch welds behind the front wheel and the whole side comes up, but am not a fan of what my jack does to the coating on the car. The review i checked out shows a kit that lifts in front of the back wheels, but the dude still jacks the front side afterwards. I am thinking of something like a hockey puck with a groove filed into it (1/4" deep) for the front pinch weld lift point.
I saw that pinch weld plate for the jack and thought it about but I'd still have trouble getting stands under it. These are supposed to make it easier with the ones at the rear being especially easy. Here are the part numbers and video from DAP. Dude on Mk7 also mentioned getting the ECS jack pad adapter as that will fit right into the hole on the front sockets.Tarspin wrote: ↑Sun Apr 08, 2018 8:42 pmIn4fitmentreview.Gberg2119 wrote:Jack pad parts ordered from e-acca. $77 versus $275 on ECS.

I debated on whether or not I actually need them as I only do wheel swaps. This will make it easier though so I could put the front on stands and clean up the brakes and wheel wells. Give the calipers a nice coat of wax too.
