I definitely got better later in the summer last year but riding wiss my first time out this summer is probably too much.

Monster blows to even walk up. Switch the direction at that part of the park and it's not bad though. There are ways to ride Wiss to reduce the pain. Lots of new fun shit in that park though. Flowy downhills and such. Some of the climbs have been drastically cleaned up too.
:notsure:

If I did it I'd have to do it in the easiest configuration.

You're gonna do it in the way we make you do it.

Builds character. Kinda like you falling off a bridge into a moat.

Also, no one attacks climbs like Gberg.

Head/shoulder first right into them.

Usually by the time I get there I'm pretty gassed. I also ride to/from the park so :iono:

This is true.

Whatever I've been doing (mostly just not eating) this year as far as diet/exercise seems to be working.

I was 181 lbs in January. 168 at the Fap. I'm down to 160 as of yesterday after riding Wiss. :mindblown:
Dat Peloton hasn’t hurt anything either.

:notbad: at all dropping 20lbs.

I changed my diet pretty significantly, too. Heavily reduced carbs (very little bread, no potatoes), more veggies, more fruit, and more lean protein (plant based and poultry).

I've also been drinking coffee more, not regularly but 2-3x a week.

And less beer. :(

But, I'm very happy with the change. I was not happy with 181 lbs for sure.
5/7 changes doe! Lean mean trail-slaying machine.

That bridge took me by surprise.

Monster usually kills me and I chill after that.

After the climbing we did prior to Monster I didn't really feel like doing it but Monster's a 'When in Rome' kinda thing.
Yeah just looked it up. I know where indian statue is and that climb BLOWS. :nomegusta:

Looking at the map, it wasn't that climb that was awful - I cleared all of that. I enjoy that climb - the double switchbacks, right?

It was the section after that.

I think it was this bit here: https://www.strava.com/segments/1619547?filter=overall
Yeah I only ever rode that trail once and said never again

So I went into the garage today after I got home from work and found out I have a bike in there. I should probably ride it.

Not sure didn’t end up going yet. Might not? IDK.

It didn’t rain last night trails are probably perfect right now. Rain pushed back to 5PM.

OH WOW good thing I didn't ride the F out there, I'd have been pissed at myself. Def gonna rain tonight tho. Wiss dries out very fast so maybe it won't be a disaster as long as it has a few hours of no rain in the morning.

New toys incoming.

Sheri's brakes keep getting super spongy. I'll bleed them, but then within a few rides they feel like garbage again.

I just ordered a set of M8000 XT brakes for my bike. I'll hand over the SLX to her bike.

Also while on eBay last night I stumbled across a Fox Float DPS EVOL in the weird small size her bike needs for $130 as a new/take off part. Her current rear shock really sucks on climbs and on the flats and bobs like crazy. Rare to ever see this size in stock anywhere so I figured I'd order it. It's the OEM shock on the top of the line Embolden, too, so should be a really good upgrade.

Can we ride this weekend? Supposed to be nice as of now.

And I'm picking up my bike from guys today. They replaced the seatpost clamp and fixed my brake squeal as warranty repairs! :fuckyeah:
