Where can I learn about local MTB races? Preferably ones that I won't die doing.

You could probably fit on my Schwinn.
Sounds like a meat spin reference

I've never had their tequila before. How is it?

I'm a long way from century type rides. My stretch goal is to knock on the door of a communist century by the middle of spring.
62 miles is pretty easy if it's flat. 62 miles with elevation... different story.

Come up my way and we can dabble with some smaller hills eventually. I've got a good 30 mile loop out and around Assunpink that has some gentle rollers and nice scenery/low traffic.
I'd do that. DFD choad ride? We can invite Hans and Hag too.

I think Wrong Racing has a nice wring to it. :notbad:

Hm. Primal has other base designs though. I wonder if I could put the doge head in a Cadillac wreath or something. Or maybe a chainring behind him...

Other thought is an endoing stick figure type thing.

What else would be good on this?

They'll melt if they step foot in NJ, though. :notsure:

But yeah, I've got some nice riding up here.
Lot of covered bridges and stuff up by you. I like covered bridges. :gay:

Bring your gam cam - we can do a covered bridge ride that spans 2 states.
Isn't one of those bridges at the bottom of Barf Hill or whatever it's called on the PA side up by Frenchtown?

I'd need a bitch out gear for that. My 34x26 low wouldn't cut it. Unless I took the cross bike with 36x36 low :megusta:

For anyone looking to get into gravel / CX stuff.... the new Giant Revolt looks freaking awesome. A little more relaxed geo compared to my bike but still generous BB clearance, can take 45c tires, fender/rack mounts, and all models come tubeless ready, thru axles front and back, and with hydro disc. 32x34 low gear (under driven! amaze) Starts at $2k.

Not a bad option at all. This is every bit as capable as my CX bike and probably weighs 5-8 lbs less.

I'm impressed with Giant's offerings.

I mean $2k for all that, cf frame/fork/steerer, hydro, thru axle, tubeless ready.... it's seriously a great spec and a very good price IMO. My bike was $1350 on fire sale, and I put $200 worth of drivetrain into it to get acceptable gearing, $100 of tires, and $600 of wheelset to get tubeless. So this is effectively cheaper despite being more capable out of the box, significantly lighter, and with better brakes.

Rode the CAAD to the office today just for shits, first time I've done it. ~6.5 miles, most of it on the rail trail to the edge of downtown, then ~3/4 of a mile dodging cars, scooters, and pedestrians to my building. The first part is nice, the latter not so much.

I thought it would be a good idea to just ride flats with toe clips so I wouldn't have to change shoes, but man I missed being clipped in. I also use Speedplays which have pretty tall cleats, and my minimalist shoes have lower stack height and so the saddle was a little too high.

Figured I'd take things easy and cruise, but then some 50+ year old dude in a full kit with roped AF legs passes me about 2 blocks south of my house and I couldn't let that fly, so I cranked it up and of course was a sweaty mess by the time I got to the office.

I could get used to this one nice days, doe.

I've got an easy 3.5 mile ride that's flat, too.
I really thought I'd be able to control myself and take it easy, but the the inner :stig: always seems to find its way out.

Tues night? Weekend? They should all be ok. Aside from Six Mile. Which is likely a swamp so I hear.

Yeah Belmont and Wiss will be fine. I imagine Nox will be mostly fine maybe some peanut butter in low spots.
