I love driving it, but I really don't love being stuck in traffic with a stick shift, or on trashed roads with a sporty car, or finding parking there and again when I get home. It's such a massive hassle, and riding to/from the trails is honestly probably faster anyway than getting the car, loading it, driving, parking, unloading, gearing up, etc.
I totally get it brah.

I'd have a 2-door Dangler if I lived where you do.
Cherokee would make more sense honestly, but it's NGH with that shitty 9 speed. I can't do a 2 door dangler, and the 4 is pretty big. Too many tradeoffs with Wranglers, any CUV is better at being dopey transportation than one of those. The EZ-to-replace bumpers aren't worth the drawbacks.

That. I need to come to terms with owning a low powered car thing. I think I'd get sick of a Rav4/CX5/whatevermobile's lack of power. Back in the day many of the little SUVs offered a larger engine option. Shame because they seem ideal for me otherwise.

Kinda long to parallel park. If I was doing that I'd just get a Tacoma, it's not all that much longer and if it's going to be a pain in the ass to park anyway might as well just get what I want.

FWIW, if I lock out the suspension on the Whorbea, it's perfectly fine on the roads. I ride to-from the trail all the time.
That would probably work. I should just shut up and buy something I guess.
Car, bike, or both?

Probably both, but I really love the car and would be  to sell it.

Has STI, won't travel.

Or Vape.
I told my buddy I'd buy his roof rack bars from him and I haven't acted on that
Reality is, the STI blows for driving to/from the trails around here because you've got to cross center city to do so. So much stop and go and congestion and traffic that it's honestly complete shit to drive it and I really don't want to. Plus I'd have to drive the car to the house and load up, then do the reverse of that when I got back. Driving my car down my street is nerve wracking, even just turning down my street is an exercise in anxiety due to the high likelihood I'll clip the curb making the turn. I'm really just making excuses doe. I plainly have no desire to drive a car through this city. I wouldn't mind nearly as much in a not sporty automatic, and that's what's fueling my recent plac thoughts for a dopey CUV.
Dude, your whole excuse for not getting a Miata or whatever is that you can't properly transport a bike, but you don't transport your bike? In4 :wasteful: gets S2000.

The heat doesn't bother me anywhere near as much as others. As long as I have an ample supply of water and my sweat can evaporate (#teamspandex) I'm pretty good.
Ive been getting heat exhaustion on longer rides lately and I don’t know why. So I’m trying to not ride too much if it’s hot af out.

What's in your bottles?
Usually 1 water, 1 skratch lab mix

I'd try doing both with some skratch?

I ride with a scoop of powdered haterade in both my bottles. Done it for years, never had any issues.
I did the haterade for a bit but that made my stomach upset. Skratch seems to make my stomach happier but doesn't seem to be doing anything for heat exhaustion / dehydration like the haterade did.

You did powdered haterade or liquid haterade?

I do the powder because it has less sugar than the bottled stuff.

Dang. I know you're lactose intolerant too so you might just be way more sensitive than I am.

I can put away 2 burgers from MacDoe and it doesn't phase my :knot: in the slightest.

I am so unbelievably over integrated proprietary shit. My All City has none of that, weighs 30 lbs, and I love it.
Press fit bottom brackets, integrated or proprietary headsets, proprietary seatposts, offset rear wheels, special axle sizes.... fuck it all.
