The GM is a such a fucking prick. He sounds like an asshole on the phone. He said he spoke to Volkswagen engineers and they said that fault code has nothing to do with that issue. He was saying that the "adviser forgot to clear the codes after the work" I said according to my service repo...

I said this part doesn't break. He said it's all over blogs. I said that was for a previous model and there was a recall. I said this part does not break. He said he's seen "so many camshafts break. that they just go."

There is nothing in the paperwork I signed that states I had to pay for a repair to not get charged for having a loaner. They could argue that you had the car in unauthorized possession because they were under the impression that you were going to repair the car with them through VWOA or otherwise....
