Yeah so I’ve read the system is specced at 1lb, someone said 15.87oz (probably conversion from metric). I feel like if there’s a leak I should get that looked at first, because releasing refrigerant into the air doesn’t seem like a great idea. I do think it’s just not getting enough air over the co...

What a thread.
I just spent the past 2 hours reading pages 1-20something of it, and the last like 10 pages. I really should find a better use for my time but that thread was like a trainwreck that you just can't look away from

Car Talk 6: Best of times and Worst of Times
I'm really digging the GR Corolla. Hopefully it won't be priced to the moon with dealers marking it up beyond Mars. I predict around $40k. The circuit pack with the bulgy hood and carbon fiber roof will be more, and the Core without the bulgy bits will be a bit less. Think about what it's competing...

I really, REALLY like what I'm seeing with the Corolla GR so far. Very cool. If only I could afford one. I wonder what pricing will be. I hope it's competitive so it sells well.

So the heat has picked up a little down here in FL, and the :meata: seems to be struggling a bit with it. For the past week when the heat came in, it would blow barely cold air when stopped on a sunny day around noon, but would get cold again once I got moving. Today, it was blowing warm air stopped...

So happy to see you giving the ol’ :meata: a good ol rub. Many more rubs to come! Also considering repainting the front bumper to clean up rock chips and make it match closer to the rest of the paint. There's a bit of a noticeable color difference between it and the rest of the car. Probably just f...

Florida’s mask use seems to be pretty random tbh. Near the parks and more towards downtown Orlando (which is the only real Orlando) it seems like more people wear masks and are vaccinated, but in that space between the parks and downtown and also the further you get from actual Orlando the worse it ...

:hai: Hey everyone! Been a minute, how’ve y’all been? School picked up a bit and then the last week was spring break, spent basically the entirety of it learning Kubernetes and other server management stuff as a little project. Bought a used Lenovo thinkcentre tiny as a server node to learn on and h...

Filled up today for the first time since gas prices shot up. Haven’t been driving as much due to spring break the past week and my one in person class this week being cancelled.
It was $50 for 10.26 gallons of 93 octane.

Nice! That headunit looks great. I've always been :impressive: with Sony's offerings. Nice work! Most :impressive: My ocd is killing me… can that shift knob be turned ? Also great job ! Glad it's fixed, I was :triggered: as well :lolol: The install looks nice man, good work! That can really take th...

Been MIA for a bit, but good progress has been made on the car. Headunit harness got finished up and headunit is installed. Looks like it’s meant to be there and the steering wheel button integration is :nice: Sound also had a noticeable bump in quality. Gonna dump a bunch of install related pics be...

Update: strap wrench did the trick! Put the shift knob back on loosely for now until I find time to do the headunit install. Also been looking at Raceseng's website for other knobs. The round cover section came off first and I realized I really like the size of the smaller metal center section. Cons...

Finally, Orlando... I wouldn't ever move here or spend a ton of time. Downtown is actually decent, lots of restaurants/nightlife, but primarily Orlando is focused around the theme parks and fringe industries - there is a shit ton of production, TV, audio/video integration, etc. based around there s...

just ordered a strap wrench, will try that first. comes in Friday. Also got a trombone brush to clean out the rain drains, I think the passenger side is partially clogged because there's a bit of a damp smell and some moisture behind the passenger seat. How about some mechanical assistance from something that won't damage it, like a strap wrench? Strap wrench is a solid idea. just ordered a strap wrench, will try that first. comes in Friday. The Raceseng knob that Richard put on. Standard thread as well but it just won't budge. Same deal, lefty loosey. It’s a threaded adapter inside the knob - you might end up spinning the adapter itself off with the knob but it should come off. Adapter details: https://raceseng.com/threaded-adapter-in...

Hindering progress though is the shift knob. It’s stuck. Either I’m weak or it’s seized somehow. I’ve been told there’s no threadlocker or anything of that sort on it. :rage: Set screw? none that I can see. It's a Raceseng Sphereology. Very nice knob so I'd like to not damage it taking it off.
